Krix Helix In-Ceiling Speaker (Single)
The "Helix" by Krix is an Australian Made, discreet, flush-mount, in-ceiling speaker suitable for indoor or sheltered outdoor use. Featuring a unique design that provides unsurpassed performance in a very compact package, with the added flexibility of suitability for sheltered outdoor use. The semi-enclosed construction results in a loudspeaker with very efficient bass response and a minimal 86mm mounting depth.

The Helix featured a 150mm (6") bass/mid driver with a durable polypropylene cone and a substantial low distortion magnet system. A high-grade 20mm (0.5") dome tweeter is concentrically mounted within the voice coil of the bass driver, thus providing uniform dispersion for room-filling sound. The added advantage of this system configuration is that the tweeter is less affected by reverse reflections, which improves its performance across its operating range.

Manufactured in Australia from weather-resistant materials, the Helix is suitable to be installed outside in the eaves or in bathrooms & ensuites, or any other room of the home. The semi-enclosed design means that the working parts of the speaker are protected from dust and other ceiling contaminates, but allows for excellent bass performance from such a low-profile speaker. The twist & lock mounting system allows for easy installation without the need of too many tools; just cut out the hole, connect the wires and twist into place.

The Helix is finished with a low-profile white (but paintable) stainless steel grille with a slimline bezel edge, so they will not only sound great but will match the rest of the KRIX architectural range of concealed audio solutions.
