Stromtank S 5000 Highpower

It is the top model and with its truly gigantic power reserves, has a very simple mission: to stand by the best systems. Its performance figures speak for themselves; the DC/AC converter is specifically optimized for audio purposes. The S5000-HighPower has the largest StromTank power base with 16 high-performance LFP batteries (48 volt system) and very clearly showing listeners who appreciate the best what's really in their system.

Stromtank s 2500 Quantum

For those who do not want to commit themselves in their choice of music and do not operate excessively large power amplifiers, the S2500-Quantum is exactly the right thing. By the way, the S2500-Quantum is the first StromTank in the model range with 16 LFP batteries (48V System), especially noticeable by a greater thrust in the lower mids and a more extended low frequency. Alternatively, the S2500-Quantum can be used to power a still quite small stereo system.

SEQ-5 Power Strip

THE technically consistent extension of the StromTanks: the SEQ-5 power strip. “SEQ” stands for sequential, because the sockets are switched with a time delay to protect against harmful current peaks. All five custom-made US receptacles are equipped with pure, rhodium-coated copper contacts and the DDS filtering, which effectively prevents the backflow of interference signals into other devices when connecting digital devices, as well as interference from the mains. The solid housing made of stainless steel with aluminium and magnesium reliably prevents radio interference. And even a phase tester is not missing.

What stands in the way of pure music enjoyment with our high-quality systems? The obstacle course over long distances and the fact that all consumers feed from the same mains. At this point it should now be clear that the often large investments in our high-end audio components make another fundamental expense indispensable. Voltage stability is a separate issue: fluctuations of 10% and more are not uncommon. At 85%, voltage reduction is the most frequent grid disturbance. It can last from 10 milliseconds to one second. In this apparently short time span, IT systems can crash, for example, resulting in data loss, overheating and premature wear of hardware.

The solution

To protect your valuable equipment from overload or under-load and to smooth out unwanted voltage peaks, you can install a mains filter. But this cannot ensure maximum power flow. You can go one step further and use a regenerator, which smooths the sine wave, but often also causes dynamic losses. This development was only made possible by the use of innovative, particularly powerful and unfortunately expensive lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. StromTank uses special versions of this battery type, which are characterized by maximum current output, the longest service life and voltage stability, as well as the greatest safety.
